Spelling Sentences - Think: OCEAN!
Miss Clark
* Some sentences are short and some sentences are long. Sentences flow together and when you read aloud, there is a smoothness to the sound of your voice. You are not tripping over awkward words or phrases. Think of sentence fluency as a flowing river. Some places on the river are smooth as glass. Other places along the river ripple and roll. And still, other places along the river rush and foam. There are many twist, turns and waterfalls along a river's path, and of course, every river's destination is the ocean. There are lots of twist and turns along a story path, and of course, every story's destination is a satisfying conclusion. Sentences are like the river - they take you to the ocean.

mrs.clark its miranda is the paper for homework like the substitute one like your the teacher and your taking the class on a field trip
Hi Miranda...yes that is one way you can think of it. You could be the teacher taking your class on a field trip and/or you could be the student taking your class on a field trip.
All up to your wonderful imagination.
See you tomorrow!

Hi Morgan! I am so glad that you are showing your parents. I know they are holding a session to show parents how to do this also, so that may help them learn more. In the meantime you will log in to
www.edline.net
*in the first box put in your student id
*tab over and put in your password that we created in class - the one that starts with a capital B - last four digits of student id - secret word that you created.
It will look something like:
B1234your secret word
Hope this helps!

Mrs. Clark, is okay to type our writing prompts or do they have to be hand written? Zach
Hi Zach!
The writing can be typed. Usually as time goes on, the students start typing their work and then they go on to include graphics. :) They seem to love putting the pictures in the writing and it is good practice for everyone to do so!
Please feel free to type your writings.
See you tomorrow!
Miss Clark
is this our homework cause on the edline it says something else
Annie G
Annie...you are very observant! The calendar on edline is going to LOOK different than the website; because I have to post on the edline calendar the DAY THE ASSIGNMENT IS DUE. Just keep track of your homework NIGHTLY assignment on the polarbear site. Much easier that way.
See you tomorrow!
